10:18 am: My feet are frozen.
Dear god. It's only 35 degrees outside and I have four lessons this morning. When I went to feed it was sleeting and windy. Tomorrow we have HURRICANE warnings. In Oregon! It's the first time on record, according to my Local Paper.
I have half an hour to thaw before Ava, Sierra, and Lex show up, in that order. On a totally different note, I am in general disappointed with parent's name choices. You could hardly hope to find a more lovely cross section of the Top Ten girl's names for the past twelve years or so. Hooray!
Time to find some lovely "light" music for the party tomorrow. Originally simply a house warming party, it has become the Hauck Hurricane Housewarming!

08:30 am: OK. I am very, very happy people are working on a cure for breast cancer. Yippee! Breast cancer is for teh bad. Yay for getting the word out, fundraising, organizing...

BUT. I am NOT down with the breast cancer people stealing an ENTIRE COLOR. I mean, pink?! Pink is like, one of the major colors, right up there with purple and green and stuff! You can't claim pink all for yourself? That's friggin' ridiculous!

...this morning in my mailbox there was a catalog for horse blankets and tack that was - guess what color?! - to go towards a cure. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

12:05 am: I can't remember if I remembered to cancel my lessons tomorrow.
But the builders aren't coming yet. So if they show up... hey, money!

I had six cups of tea today. My throat has been yelling at me all day. *cries*

On the plus side, I have cute kitties! Tuxedo Mask is back and in the little house. Thunder Bunny is locked the garage. They are contained. Hah!

10:01 pm: I watched "The Birdcage" again and now I have YMCA stuck in my head
It's fun to stay at the....
YYYYYYYY.... MCA!

Is it physically possible to listen to this song and NOT dance around like a moron?

We had a helluva wind storm today. Lawn chairs crashed into our house and the glass table fell over, shattering into a thousand glass shards on our lawn. Hilarity ensues!

I had a crummy evening today due to repressed emotions and many hormones. Note(s) to self: bottling emotions is bad plan. Hanging out with Buzzy is always
good plan. Making Christmas presents makes me feel like a good person.

And now.... back to making gifts. Seriously, I only love Christmas because I love crafts.

09:00 am: I have to make a million phone calls this morning. I used to really really hate talking on the phone, but I've gotten really good at it, what with all the students. This morning's round involve two students - one to cancel her lesson 'cause it's raining right now, one to reschedule - my farrier, one friend to set up a lunchdate and pump her for information about hay, and a girl I'm going out with later. Gee.
Meanwhile I got new icons! Lots of 'em! There's nothing like new icons to make you feel like posting on LJ again.

09:32 pm: Ten year old Eleanor Rochester and I are getting Ginny ready to be ridden. She is currying her, I am gathering her tack - saddle, saddlepad, longe line, carrot stick. She turns to me and says,
"Robyn, you have everything!"
"I do?"
"Yes! You have a nice house, you have horses, you have a barn, you live with your family, you have cats and dogs... you have everything!"
"Wow."
"Yeah. You must feel pretty lucky."
"I guess I do."

... there's really nothing to say after that.
